Spread the Word!
Please help to promote a Simon Joyner show in your city. Since all of the shows on the Living Rooms & Discrete Spaces Tour are in houses, art galleries, and other non-traditional music venues, we need to promote these shows through non-traditional methods. There are no booking agents or managers or professional promoters involved so we are asking the people most interested in Simon's music to help make these shows successful. Simon is looking for volunteers from all walks of life in each city to help spread the word about these shows. There are many ways you can help in your spare time. You can do as little or as much as you like. A few ideas are below.
You Can Help
Distribute Posters and Handbills
- Download and print Simon Joyner flyers in full size and hang up in the places you hang out. Or make your own flyers if you prefer.
- Download and print Simon Joyner flyers in handbill size to pass out at shows you go to between now and then.
Create Local Buzz
- Create a Facebook event invite like this one and send to your friends a couple weeks before the show.
- Send a PDF of the Simon Joyner poster to the contacts in your address book with a link to the http://www.simonjoynertours.com website.
- On the day of the show, send texts to your friends reminding them to come.
- Play Simon Joyner records for people who aren't in the know.
Sell Tickets
- Download and print a sheet of Simon Joyner tickets and sell them to friends.
- Collect the money for each ticket you sell, keep a list of all the names of people you sold tickets to, and then send a Paypal payment to simon@simonjoyner.net for the full amount of all sold tickets. You will need to include all the names of the ticket-holders with the payment, so they can be matched to the master list at the door.
- If you sell five tickets, you will get into the show for free. If you sell ten tickets or more you will get in for free and have your choice of an LP, T-Shirt, or CD.
